If you believe in the power of storytelling to change the world, if you believe that in order to achieve real social justice, we ALL need to be given a platform to share our stories and be heard, then please, give what you can today to support TMI Project this holiday season.

With your help, we can inspire the world to be a safe and welcoming place for the next generation to live fully and fearlessly as their authentic selves.

Please donate now so we can reach our goal of raising $25,000 by December 31st.

Our promise? We will use true storytelling to address today’s most controversial issues. We will amplify the voices of those we most need to hear and put the spotlight on the stories and storytellers mainstream media silences and ignores.

All funds raised during TMI Project’s annual appeal this year will be used to support our work in our four social justice areas: race, mental health, gender & sexuality. The following projects and more are planned for 2019:

  • Locker Room Talk With your help, in 2019 we’ll release Locker Room Talk, our documentary chronicling Kingston High School football players’ participation in a TMI Project memoir writing and storytelling workshop designed to confront a hyper-masculine culture and redefine what it means to be men. We’ll also launch our audience engagement and curriculum development plan aimed at bringing the work to schools across the country. Our goal? Inspire more men and boys to access their authentic selves, and speak up in the face of violence against women.
  • Life Lines: Queer Stories of Survival TMI Project, in partnership with Stockade Works, filmed the entire process of creating Life Lines, our production featuring inspiring true personal stories of triumph in the face of suicidal attempts or ideations, from workshop to live performance for a forthcoming documentary film. Your contribution will enable us to do all of the post-production work and create a distribution and marketing plan for the film. Our Hope? Inspire the world to be a safe and welcoming place for the next generation of LGBTQ youth to live fully and fearlessly as their authentic selves.
  • Vicarious Resilience Your contribution will help us create a discussion guide and online curriculum as well as a distribution and marketing plan for Vicarious Resilience, the documentary about our ongoing collaboration with the Mental Health Association of Ulster County (MHA). Our goal? Destigmatize mental illness, one story at a time, and inspire viewers with mental health challenges to realize their own recovery.
  • #blackstoriesmatter Launched in 2017, #blackstoriesmatter is TMI Project’s way of making an impact in addressing incidents of hate, bigotry and racial injustice in our local community while also participating as an organization in the national outcry of injustice. Your contribution will help us to produce another Reclaiming Our Time storytelling workshop and subsequent performance in 2019 and launch a new program bringing together local youth with community leaders for story sharing and conversation about speaking truth to power.

Partner with TMI Project by donating by December 31st. Together, we can change the world, one story at a time!
